Frequently asked questions about short track equipment

What do you need to start short track?

A short track boot with a blade, and the required protection. At ISU competitions that means an ASTM-standard helmet, cut-resistant gloves, a cut-resistant neck guard, shin guards and knee pads, cut-resistant ankle socks, eye protection and a cut-resistant suit. Ask your club which rules apply there.

Do you sell complete short track skates?

You buy the boot and the blade separately. That way you build your own short track skate: a CBC boot that fits your foot and a Skate-Tec blade that suits your level. Our short track skates page explains each boot and blade.

Where does my order ship from?
