Frequently asked questions about short track gear

What is the difference between blade guards and a blade box?

Blade guards protect your edges as soon as you step off the ice. A blade box or travel case is for transporting and storing blades, usually your backup pair.

Why use fingertips on your glove?

Fingertips go on your left glove, the hand you put on the ice in the corners. CBC GloveArmor is a set of five 3 mm carbon fingertips (one large, three medium and one small) that you glue onto a clean, dry cut-resistant glove with gel super glue. NAGANO Quick Tips in ABS are made for the NAGANO Pro Gloves 3.0.

What is a corner belt for?

A corner belt lets you practise your corner position off the ice, for example during dryland training.
